The site proves to be the entrance to a fantasy realm, Unworld, where the spirit of comatose Chloe currently resides once in Unworld, Rob attempts to save Chloe, but ultimately she must choose for herself whether to stay in Unworld or return to her body and live.
An opportunity to work on a secret archeological dig distracts him from his depressing visits to his sister's nursing home, his muted and distant interactions with his parents, and the fact that he doesn't know how to move on with his life. Although Rob loves his sister and regrets that he didn't treat her with more respect, he is unsure of her feelings about him.
Rob's younger sister, Chloe, lies in a coma after a devastating riding accident, and it is unlikely that she will awaken.
